Ok, I admit. It’s not my job. I have been the one who has tried to lose weight fast desperately for all these years and spent a fortune on bogus weight-loss supplements, patches, creams and diet programs! I was moving from one method to another hoping something might work. But I was always back again overweight as I had always been.

I can tell you right now that 70% of those weight loss diet plans and products are scams. The companies know it and are laughing all the way to the bank. Though I found there were some benefits of all those dieting programs but mostly they were temporary. All these diets everyone wants are those promising the quickest, most painless results — which, unfortunately  were not sustainable for me. Weight that is lost rapidly is usually a mixture of water, muscle, and a little fat instead of mainly fat. What’s worse, I found with almost all diets that losing was followed by regaining of the weight.

What this does is lower your metabolism and I have ended up at a heavier weight than before.

3. Low carb diets that do not work -  The theory behind these Low Carb Diets is that carbohydrates promote insulin production, which in turn results in weight gain. Therefore by reducing carbohydrate intake, we will lose weight.

The truth is: by eating a Low Carb diet, you do not provide sufficient carbohydrates to your body for daily function. Therefore it will start burning the stored carbohydrates (glycogen) for energy. When your body starts burning glycogen, water is released. Therefore the drastic initial drop of weight at the beginning is only water you lose as a result of burning glycogen.
